01
The persecuted Church

Where following Jesus carries the highest cost.

Open Doors’ 2026 World Watch List places these ten countries at the highest levels of violence and pressure against Christians. Pray for protection, courage, faithful witness, access to Scripture, justice, and comfort for families who have suffered loss.

North KoreaSomaliaYemenSudanEritreaSyriaNigeriaPakistanLibyaIran

India is ranked 12th and remains a major prayer focus; Nigeria ranks 7th overall and accounts for a large share of reported faith-related killings.

02
Women and girls

Where freedom, opportunity, and dignity remain severely restricted.

Pray for women and girls facing barriers to education, work, movement, health care, legal protection, economic participation, and public life. Afghanistan is the clearest present emergency: women and girls remain excluded from secondary and higher education and much public employment.

03
Natural disasters

Earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, cyclones, droughts, landslides, and sea-level rise repeatedly threaten communities across Asia, the Americas, and highly vulnerable parts of Africa. Pray for warning systems, preparedness, protection, rapid rescue, wise leadership, and compassionate recovery.

04
Direct spiritual opposition

Where governments, laws, ideologies, or militant movements openly oppose Christian faith.

Pray where conversion is criminalized or punished, churches are controlled or attacked, Bibles are restricted, believers meet secretly, or extremist violence targets Christian communities. Ask God for bold witness, open doors, protection, religious freedom, and the breaking of spiritual strongholds.

Warfare and lawlessness

Political instability

Where fragile institutions deepen human suffering.

Pray for righteous leadership, stable institutions, peaceful transitions, justice, truth, and leaders who seek the welfare of their people.

08
The peace of Jerusalem

Pray for Israel and the peace of Jerusalem.

Scripture directly calls us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Pray for peace within her walls, protection of human life, wisdom for leaders, comfort for the grieving, release of captives, restraint of hatred, justice, reconciliation, and the knowledge of God.

Psalm 122:6–9 · Isaiah 62:1, 6–7 · Romans 10:1 · 1 Timothy 2:1–2

This is a standing biblical intercession point. It does not depend on a changing news cycle.
