COP deliberately does not emphasize hierarchy. We honor longstanding members and recognized elders whose consistency and service are known within the prayer group.

Beginning with a small company of prayer warriors.
Courts of Prayer began in 2015 with Henry Nwaneri, Pastor Wilhelmina Deke, and a small company of prayer warriors. It has grown to more than 1,000 individual participants, with approximately six churches participating internationally.
Churches, pastors, and participants have connected from the Dominican Republic, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Guam, Nigeria, South Africa, India, Canada, the United States, Kenya, Mauritania, and beyond.
Intercession begins with friendship.
Nearness gives access. Access gives understanding.
A successful intercessor must first become a true friend of God. Friendship gives nearness and the ability to know God’s heart concerning people and situations.
Abraham was called God’s friend. Moses knew extraordinary nearness. Jesus called His disciples friends because He had made the Father’s counsel known to them. God still reveals His counsel to His servants.

Friendship learns the ways of God.
The law is perfect.
Friendship learns the wholeness and restoring power of God’s ways.
The testimony is sure.
Friendship learns the reliability of what God has revealed about Himself.
The statutes are right.
Friendship learns to delight in what God defines as straight and true.
The commandment is pure.
Friendship learns the clarity and light within God’s instruction.
The fear of the Lord is clean.
Friendship includes reverence that is not corrupted by familiarity.
His judgments are true.
Friendship learns to trust God’s judgments as well as His tenderness.
Some things are entrusted, not announced.
Intercessors become custodians of mysteries. Deep access produces discretion. A friend of God does not feel compelled to publicize everything God reveals.
God’s secrets are not merchandise. The intercessor values friendship with God above ministry, platform, notoriety, or financial advantage.
